Principal's Message

Cherrington Elementary Cougars,

I am proud to be a part of a school with amazing students and staff.  We value the opportunity to come together to learn and grow as a community. Our staff, students and community at Cherrington Elementary School promote educational excellence by providing a high quality academic and social-emotional learning experience that encourages students to be confident, knowledgeable, responsible and productive citizens in a diverse, ever-changing world.

These are the Cherrington Expectations that guide our words, actions, and interactions with each other. We work to follow these expectations in all areas of our school and on our buses.

We are proud to be a Responsive Classroom school, with over half of our staff fully trained and utilizing RC strategies such as Morning Meeting, Interactive Modeling, Reminding, Reinforcing, and Redirecting Language, and universal signals for attention, such as the chime, hand raised or lights off. You’ll notice these strategies in action as you walk the halls of our school!
